Our pup Logan is named after Mt. Logan of Kluane National Park, Yukon, which, at 19,551 ft. (5,959 m), is the second-highest peak in North America. Jamie has discovered that, by happy coincidence, Logan was born on the United Nations' International Mountain Day.
By no coincidence whatsoever, my last Lab, Donjek, was named after a glacier and river in the very same park. I still miss the sweet old boy; here he is:
